"Imitate What is Good" from 1 Chronicles 5

In Nothing We TrustImitate means to duplicate just like a photocopy.

As Christians we need to imitate Jesus and all that are pleasing in His eyes.

In our chapter for tonight 1 Chronicles 5, Reuben the first born of Israel defiled his father's marriage and it was given to Joseph.

Leviticus 18:8 "Do not have sexual relations with your father's wife; that would dishonor your father."

Because of that fact, Reuben was not listed as the first born in genealogical record in accordance with his birthright.

Micah 5:2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
from ancient times."

It was prophesize that the the savior will come in tribe of Judah.

If we focus in our life's problems and temptations we will get destructed in our Christian walk.

People these days worship money more than heavenly things.

When we are in the middle of the battle and we thought that we can't do it, keep in mind that all of our plans apart from God we can do nothing, we must depend on God because the battle was God's. Cry out to God and don't do it on our own.

Jeremiah 17:7-8
7 "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose confidence is in him.

8 He will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit."

How many times do we trust in God?
We need to rely on His power every second.

1 Chronicles 5:20 They were helped in fighting them, and God handed the Hagrites and all their allies over to them, because they cried out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted in him.

Joshua 10:14
God was holding the run in answer to Joshua prayer.

If we do it the Bible's way surely we will be successful.

Sometimes we prioritize the things of this world more than God. For the love of money is the root of all evil. If we love anything more than God, then we are doomed.

Remain faithful as God gives us the free will either to obey, or to over come evil and imitate Jesus, imitate what is good.
