"Follow the Wisdom of God" from James 3:13-18

Wisdom came from the Greek word Sophia = Love for knowledge

Now, there are two kinds of wisdom:
wisdom of humanity and wisdom of God

James 3:16-18
For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from Heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

The wisdom of this word is folishness

Being wise-

Galatians 6:4
Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in him self, without comparing himself to somebody else.


1 Timothy 4:12
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.


1 Peter 3:16
Keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

Humility - No man is wise enough by himself.
In wisdom of God - we need to have respect and gentleness.
We need to be on guard in the wisdom of the world.

Be on guard against jealousy - Do not boast have a sincere heart toward others.

If you are proud man you will surely hate somebody get promoted.

Earthly wisdom came from Satan, we have 3 enemies:

1. Pride


2. Flesh


3. Satan

World says "if you are successful, smart and wealthy people will respect you." Which is not true.

The disciples were uneducated but they submit themselves to the wisdom of God But it doesn't mean proffession is wrong, the point - What is more important wisdom of this world or wisdom God?

The Bible teaches us the wisdom of God.

The world will say it is okay to "living in" before marriage but the Bible says wait until marriage.

Sin of ommission is not praying.

When we are doing the ministry there is NO competition.

To be teachable, humble and considerate of others be open minded and full of mercy as the fruit of the spirit is Love

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Against such things there is no Law.

being Submissive = obedient, surrender, it is willing to listen. It is willing to change, willing to listen to another idea, to another thought.

In order to experience peace you must embrace the grace of God; experience grace first to show peace.

Grace and Peace and not the other way around.

Now if you are really wise, you will say I want to follow the Godly wisdom. If you are a fool, you'll say, "Well I'll just go like the world by following worldly wisdom"

Proverbs 19:19 Listen to advice and accept instructions, and in the end you will be wise.


Luke 18:14 I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted


Proverbs 15:33 The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor.
